Synopsis
The rock art of the Sahara — tens of thousands of years old — is being erased by climate change, conflict, and looting. A race against time to document humanity's oldest stories before they vanish, told alongside the Tuareg guides who are their living custodians.
Director's Statement
I sat with a Tuareg elder named Moussa who pointed at a painting on a cliff face and said, 'This is my grandfather's grandfather's dream.' The desert is not empty. It is the fullest library we have, and it is burning.
