Synopsis
Twenty years after the Balkans conflict, three former soldiers — one from each side — meet for the first time to walk the fields where they once fought. A meditation on memory, guilt, and the fragile possibility of reconciliation.
Director's Statement
I did not want to make a war film. I wanted to make a film about what remains after war — the landscape of the soul when the physical landscape has healed but the internal one has not. These men taught me that peace is not the absence of conflict but the daily choice to remain in the room with it.
